Nicki Minaj – Chun-Li

Review: Shake that ass, Nicki! We all love you, superstar! However, Nicki seems a bit unacquainted with Chun-Li. To give her some credit, we are talking a video and song based on Capcom video game, Street Fighter. Capcom has a strong history that began in Japan in 1979 as a manufacturer and distributor of electronic game machines.

Representatives at Capcom confirmed that they weren’t involved with the making of Nicki’s single, but they “are happy to see Street Fighter’s impact on popular culture and its characters referenced in songs and other forms of entertainment.” They declined to comment on Nicki’s lines seemingly referring to Chun-Li being a “villain,” nor would they comment on if they’d be open to working with Nicki in the future.
